Some safari companies treat Kenya as a backdrop. We treat it as a living, breathing place we are honoured to share with the world. Lorikeet Safaris was born in Nairobi out of a deep, personal love for Kenya's birds, wildlife, and wild landscapes. Our founders — Muthengi Mbuvi, our Photography Consultant, and Richard Mbugua, our Tour Consultant — combined their expertise in wildlife photography and safari guiding to build a company rooted in passion, precision, and an unshakeable commitment to giving clients the best possible experience.
We named ourselves after the Lorikeet — a bird known for its colour, its curiosity, and its love of travel. That's exactly who we are. When you travel with Lorikeet Safaris, you are not a package. You are a guest. And we take that seriously.
